Nominator's project description

Professor Zinn is well known internationally for his outstanding research in the analysis of risk debates in contemporary societies. He has made important contributions to the theory of risk governance and risk regulation. Professor Zinn developed a framework of social science concepts of risk in society and explored theoretically and empirically the responses of individuals and organizations towards physical, social and financial risks. During his stay in Germany, he intends to explore the social dimensions of risk and work on a cross-cultural comparison of risk attitudes in selected countries.
